The Robocop statue, which began as a Kickstarter project in 2011, will finally become a permanent feature in Downtown Detroit in 2021. Or at least that's what is being reported by the Detroit Free Press. In 2011, Twitter users started to petition the Detroit Mayor about getting a lifesize Robocop statue installed downtown.
