Kickstarter Game Developer Haiku Collection
September 2nd - via: cliqist.com
It’s a bit of a tradition that whenever I interview someone for Cliqist I ask them to put together a brief haiku to describe them, their company, or their game. Since we’re celebrating the one year anniversary of Cliqist this week I figure it would be as good a time as any to look back at some of them. All the haiku’s were written by the person being interviewed, and are listed in the order in which they appeared on the site. Some are great, some not so much, but each is interesting in its own right. (Read More)

Prepare for Epicness with Kingdom Come: Deliverance
May 27th - via: cliqist.com
We certainly are lacking in true medieval RPGs and medieval-themed games in general these days. It’s not that often we come across a fantasy game with that style that doesn’t involve dungeon sieging, dragon slaying, and attractive Elvin ladies. Those elements can be nice and entertaining, but there is a point where it marks the generic style of the RPG genre. (Read More)

Warhorse & Roberts Space Industries Just Changed Gaming
February 18th - via: cliqist.com
Someone recently asked me how Cliqist is different than my previous web effort, aren’t all crowdfunded games simply indie games? Why not let the big indie gaming sites like IndieStatik cover what’s worth covering? Do we really need yet another gaming site? Some of those questions are better left for another editorial, but I do know one thing, Warhorse Studios and Roberts Space Industries made a great case for the power of crowdfunding today, and it makes me more excited than ever about Cliqist and our niche of covering the world of crowdfunding games. Dan Vávra Discusses Kingdom Come: Deliverance
February 7th - via: cliqist.com
Warhorse Studios’ Dan Vávra recently took some time out of his insane schedule to answer some questions about Kingdom Come: Deliverance, his upcoming open world medieval RPG. Described as “Dungeons without Dragons,” Kingdom Come takes a more realistic approach than Skyrim and The Witcher. Players will not only speak with NPCs and go on quests, they’ll also have to survive the unforgiving world around them; this includes the need to sleep, eat a balanced diet of non rotten food, and be careful of taking difficult to heal damage. Check out our previous coverage of Kingdom Come if you’d like to learn more. (Read More)

Man’s fascination with robots has been around since the early 1930’s. Since then it has expanded from the simple notion of humanoid robots. Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s Kickstarter Success Should be An Eye Opener for Publishers
January 27th - via: onlysp.com
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the little game that could. It completely knocked its Kickstarter goals out of the park and it is continuing to surpass its funding with more and more donations every day. The title received all of its funding through an investor and through Kickstarter but was never picked up by any publisher, despite the massive interest in the game. The reason behind this was that the game was considered too difficult to market and it wouldn’t be worth the effort of investing because “People want wizards and dragons” but maybe it’s time that publishers realise they ought to be taking more risks with projects and Kingdom Come: Deliverance is their wake up call. Kingdom Come: Deliverance needs some Kickstarter cash

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was announced towards the end of last year, but it seems the game is going to require a little more money to get Act One (said to be 30+ hours) out of the door.
