Travelling is full of friction. From border control queues to flight delays, there are always small frustrations that can pile up - and don't get me started on packing.
Thankfully, picking the cable you need to take with you just got a whole lot simpler thanks to the Connect Pro from Chargeasap - available on Kickstarter right now.
MagSafe for all
If you’ve used a MacBook with MagSafe, you'll know how helpful magnetic charging cables can be. Sure, it connects more quickly, but perhaps even more impressive is that it stops someone yanking your laptop to the ground if they step on the cable.
I mention Apple's technology here because, in many ways, the Connect Pro lets you have that on just about any device you want. It works by offering USB-C, Lightning, and Micro-USB 'ends' that are connected to your device of choice, and then the cable itself attaches to whichever one you need.
That means you can keep the 'end' for USB-C in your iPad Pro, and the Lightning one in your AirPods Max, knowing you can switch the cable between them with ease to save fumbling.
Chargeasap says the magnets involved are the strongest known to man, and it's hard to argue - but that's both a blessing and a curse. It's made removing the end from some devices very tricky while also ensuring consistent charging.
If you're looking for a dongle-less solution, you might still prefer a traditional cable. Still, I can sneak the end of a cable onto my AirPods for magnetic charging, and one in my iPad, knowing I can switch between them with the satisfying 'click' of the cable.
So, how can you tell it's consistent? Because there's a nifty LCD display on the cable that shows the wattage in realtime. It goes up to 100W, too, making it an ideal partner for the Zeus GaN charger, too.
The Connect Pro cable from Chargeasap is available on Kickstarter right now, and has already hit its funding goal.
