You’ve got just two more days to reap rewards from the campaign for Blade Runner RPG: Replicant Rebellion. The second expansion to Free League’s hit tabletop game, it’s the first to cast you and your friends as Replicants instead of Blade Runners. You’re secretly planning a rebellion against society while attempting to remain hidden and disguised among the masses. The specific goals will be up to you: possible plots include helping fugitive Replicants, sabotaging the Replicant trade, going to war with rival robo-gangs and syndicates, and more. “Replicant Rebellion dares you to explore how much you’re willing to lose for a cause that’s sacrificing it all,” says Free League. “Yet regardless the price, the Rebellion must live on.” Blade Runner RPG: Replicant Rebellion has already hit most of its stretch goals as of the writing of this article, save one: a solo mode. If this last goal is hit, it’ll become possible to play Replicant Rebellion without a GM. But it can’t happen without you, so….you know what to do.

I can't wait to team up with my friends and carve our own path in this dystopian world. The solo mode being the last stretch goal is a bit of a bummer, but hey, gotta do what we gotta do to make it happen! Time to rally the troops and spread the word. Those preview pages look incredible, by the way. The art style perfectly captures the gritty atmosphere of the Blade Runner universe.

The Replicant Rebellion theme sounds interesting, but honestly, wrangling a group for tabletop sessions can be a pain. The ability to experience this world and explore the moral complexities of being a Replicant on the run by myself is incredibly tempting. I wonder how Free League will pull off a solo mode for a game that seems so heavily focused on player interaction. It could be a real innovation for solo RPG experiences.

$38 for the core book and the digital asset pack? That's not a bad deal, especially considering the quality of the art they've shown. I'm a big fan of the original Blade Runner RPG, but playing as a Blade Runner hunting Replicants always felt a bit one-sided. The chance to flip the script and play as the hunted instead of the hunter is a cool twist. Maybe I can convince a friend or two to split the cost with me. Solo mode would be nice, but honestly, the core concept of Replicant Rebellion is enough to get me interested. Gotta weigh the pros and cons before I jump in, though.

Oh man, the whole Blade Runner RPG collection for $161? That's definitely tempting... but also a significant chunk of change. I already own the core rulebook, but Replicant Rebellion, the Asset Pack, and all the previous expansions sound like a must-have for any serious Blade Runner RPG fan. The solo mode for Replicant Rebellion is the real kicker, though. Having the option to play this story-driven campaign by myself is a game-changer. Decisions, decisions... maybe I can hold off on that new pair of Jordans and treat myself to some good ol' fashioned cyberpunk roleplaying instead.

Blade Runner RPG? Is this like a tabletop roleplaying game based on the movie? I love the movie, but I've never played a tabletop RPG before. This Replicant Rebellion stuff sounds intriguing, but it also seems a little complicated. Is it easy to learn for someone who's new to this kind of game?

A solo mode for a roleplaying game? Isn't the whole point of RPGs the social interaction, the collaborative storytelling? I can see the appeal of playing as a Replicant on the run, but wouldn't the experience be richer with a group of friends discussing the moral dilemmas and tough choices that come up during the game? Maybe the solo mode is good for trying out the system or exploring specific scenarios, but for the full Blade Runner RPG experience, I think a group is still the way to go. I'll stick with the core rulebook for now and see how the Replicant Rebellion campaign shakes out before I consider backing it.
