Welcome to Tavern Talk Thursday! We are expanding! What started as a column dedicated to chatting with members of the TTRPG community is growing to talk about all things TTRPG. We aim to continue sharing all the things we love about the community and all the content within. Our first Kickstarter this month comes from New York Times Best Seller and award-winning author Holly Black. Enemies and Lovers: The Crown of Elfhame is a fast-paced card game based on Black’s Folk of Air series. It mixes strategy and deception and features incredibly beautiful artwork. We can’t wait to dive into this fantasy card game.

Lyre’s Guide to Risk & Reward: A 5th Edition Bestiary

Our next project comes from Nat19, a group of actors, writers and TTRPG content designers. Lyre’s Guide to Risk & Reward serves as a bestiary for the team’s ongoing project, Lyre’s Guide to Retia. This is a great addition to a DM’s collection, even if they just plan to use it to add some fun to their Dungeons and Dragons game.

Roll Initiative: The Elimination Party Game

Seas & Serpents: A Drinking Board Game

Our final Kickstarter to check out in May is Nash’s Seas & Serpents. The drinking board game caters to both your casual drinkers and those who can handle quite a bit more. The board is based on Olaus Magnus’ Carta Marina and features custom cards to make every round and game unique. In the end, who will become the King of the Seas?
