Today, the upcoming Pathfinder game Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults has finally reached its funding goal on Kickstarter.
The game is a classic Co-op Hack and Slash title based on Paizo's popular Pathfinder tabletop RPG and developed by Canadian developer BKOM Studios.It had a CAD$410,000 goal on the crowdfunding platform, which was reached and overtaken today with 8 days to go on the clock.
It's part of a deal between the two developers for two games, the second one being Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors. Now that the Kickstarter hurdle has been cleared, Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults is scheduled to come to PC with a shipping windows expected for summer 2025.
BKOM CEO Frederic Martin accompanied the goal with a statement:
Hello, Fred Martin here. I’m one of the founders of Bkom Studios and have had the privilege of working alongside a really passionate team of game smiths for the last 26 years, and counting. I’m also a lifelong fan of fantasy stories where elves, dwarves, goblins and sorcerers share the stage as the main villains and heroes.
I felt like I had to say thanks. Big thanks in fact. Huge thanks to you, the supporters of this project who have allowed us to reach this point in the campaign. Huge thanks to my colleagues who are working very hard on this initiative because they also believe in it. Huge thanks to Paizo for entrusting us with such a precious IP and adventure path.
All the good vibes you are sending are really fueling our conviction that this game is going to become an awesome reality. The energy behind your contribution is also encouraging others to join. And thanks to that, we reached our goal and we are hopeful for the last week of the campaign. Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults is a classic Co-op Hack and Slash game, based on the epic Adventure Path of the same name, in which up to four players lead iconic Pathfinder heroes into the farthest depths of Gauntlight Keep, battle deadly monsters and abominations to reach the evil sorceress Belcorra Haruvex and put an end to her vile schemes once and for all.
