Death From Above – Russian War Game

The war between Russia and Ukraine has taken a new twist and soon surfers will be able to participate. Lesser Evil has produced another political game, this time against Russia. Death from Above follows the pro-democratic stance of Hendrick Lesser, founder of Lesser Evil Games.

The company has launched its Kickstarter campaign which will run until April 9, 2023.

With strong promises to aid the game developers of Ukraine, lesser is producing a war simulation of the Russia – Ukraine war. The angle is aerial combat using modern unpiloted aircraft, drones, to win the battle.

Death from Above is a light, easy-to-pick up, drone warfare arcade-style game. Players assume the role of a Ukrainian drone coordinator dispatched to eliminate the enemy, supply needed ammunition, and restore damaged supply lines.

How to Get Involved through Death from Above

Lesser proposed a 30-day Kickstarter campaign, that looks more like a fundraiser. He outlines his to plans to involve the help of Ukrainian designers to assist the development team in aspects of the presentation.

The game is set for early steam release this April 2023 by Lesser Evil Games. Death from Above was created and developed by Rockodile Games and Octobear Knight Games. Rockodile is a game development studio that focuses on Unreal Games development for PC consoles. they are located in Turko, Finland.

They have co-partnered with Octobear Knights games, a berlin based indie games development studio.

They became famous for the Octobear Nights digital table game.

The game's simplicity of usage opens it out to a larger audience. The fact that Lesser Evil Studios is using its platform to promote a pro-democracy stance is amazing. I like that a portion of the Kickstarter campaign is used to raise money for Ukrainian designers. Do we know what maps will be cover? I guess Mariupolj and Bahmut will be for sure. Maybe latest incident between Russian fighter and US Raptor drone will be included.

Will they take money from Russian investors in this game? No matter to war, investors always look opportunity to earn money and this will be good chance just because of actual situation. Are Russians even allow invest money in Kickstarter campaigns?
