The next beta update and a Mac version of InXile's Early Access, post-apocalyptic role-playing game, Wasteland 2, will be available on Steam Feb. 24, InXile Entertainment CEO Brian Fargo announced via Kickstarter.

The update will add new inventory UI, map locations, animations and more. According to Fargo, the team has made “great progress” on upcoming content, which is undergoing final tests. The developer will continue to finalize the game’s elements and aims to be addressing only bugs within three months.
Speaking about the game’s launch, Fargo explained the beta period was used to evaluate Wasteland 2’s release window. To date, the game has a total of 2,300 reported bugs and suggestions, of which 1,100 have been fully addressed. Although progress is being made, InXile is still not ready to announce a release date.
“We know better than to give an exact date at this point because in addition to pushing the game in the ways we’d planned, we’re going to continue to incorporate player comments that make sense for us to address,” Fargo said.
“But we are in the final stretch and are thankful our backers have consistently agreed we should take the time we need ... But do be aware the end of this three month plan does not represent the finish line, at that point there will still be work to do before we can release the game.”
A Linux version of the game is expected to follow “sometime after” the update on Feb. 24. Wasteland 2 launched via Early Access for Windows PC in December of last year.
