Playism Games’ 2D side-scrolling action adventure title La-Mulana 2 reached its $200,000 Kickstarter funding goal yesterday with five days to go.
La-Mulana 2 reaches Kickstarter funding goal

The game is a direct sequel to the 2005 La-Mulana, which originally launched on Windows PC and then on Nintendo’s WiiWare service in Japan in 2011. In the first La-Mulana, players took on the role of protagonist Lemeza, an adventurer similar to Indiana Jones, who traversed the 2D game world searching for power-ups and new areas to explore. La-Mulana 2 is “the sequel we’ve always wanted to make,” developer Playism Games said on the game’s Kickstarter campaign page.
La-Mulana 2 had a Kickstarter funding goal of $200,000. It is now working toward a series of stretch goals, including a Monster Guide at $260,000, character stories at $350,000 and Linux and Mac versions at $400,000. The game is being developed primarily for Windows PC.
