A new Kickstarter update from massively multiplayer online game Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen details the title’s first revealed class, the Cleric.
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen introduces first class, the Cleric

Clerics are “battle-ready” priests who use abilities of divine might and healing spells. Battle clerics wear heavy plate armor and can use weapons such as maces, scepters, warhammers and two-handed hammers in battle. Clerics can also choose to focus on spiritual and divine blessings by taking a more defensive role.
“In these cases they’ve been seen wearing bright, radiant robes and are known to wield two-handed staves or scepters with a tome in offhand,” the post reads. “The lack of heavy armor makes them more susceptible to melee and artillery damage but they are more agile to dodge and channel their divine energies.”

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is the latest project from massively multiplayer designer veteran Brad McQuaid, who previously worked on EverQuest and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. The game is being developed for Mac and Windows PC, with a possibility for other platforms in the future.
The game’s Kickstarter campaign launched earlier this month and will end funding efforts Feb. 22. At the time of this post, it’s raised more than $154,000 of its $800,000 goal.
