First State artists attempt to kickstart projects

An independent filmmaker is hoping to join the ranks of Delawareans going online to fund projects. Brooklyn based filmmaker Lindsey Copeland is back in her home state to raise money and shoot a feature film in Delaware called Thumper, a story about high school sweethearts who accidentally meet in a hotel lobby on the eve of their respective weddings. To raise the $500,000 required to make the film, Copeland is turning to a website called Kickstarter. (Read More)
