Update:
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 will be released on July 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The game will feature two-player co-op, and feature the first game's Miriam, Alfred and Gebel as playable characters.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, the sequel to 2018's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter 8-bit spinoff bonus game, will be "coming soon" to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Revealed during the New Game Plus digital event, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is once again being produced by Artplay's Koji Igarashi, who directed many Castlevania games during his time at Konami.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon was inspired by NES' Castlevania games, specifically Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and the sequel follows suit.

Curse of the Moon 2 features multiple playable characters, including the original's Zangetsu - the "sword-wielding exorcist," Dominique - an "exorcist sent by the church who heals her allies and uses her spears to fell demons," Robert - a "sharpshooting soldier capable of sniping his demonic foes," and Hachi - a "Corgi who pulverizes demons by controlling a colossal suit of magicked armor."

In our review of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, we said "The prospect of playing such a lovingly crafted tribute to the vintage heyday of Konami's seemingly abandoned Castlevania series more than makes up for a few out-of-place boss fights and a slightly too punitive death penalty. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon delivers a brief but effective burst of nostalgia, and thanks to its many creative modifiers it contains enough replay value to engage (and challenge) anyone who pines for gaming's bygone days."
