Say hello to the Teslasuit, created by Tesla Studios.
It's a body-hugging bit of kit that allows you, via neuromuscular electrical stimulation, to experience all manner of different sensations while playing a game, immersed in a virtual world, or just sitting mindlessly on the settee.
The company - which is not related to Tesla Motors - says the suit can simulate all manner of sensory experiences; touch or force - brushing against something or being shot in the chest, say; heat or cold - like 15 minutes of a British summer's day; water and wind - you get the idea.
What makes the Teslasuit that bit more interesting is that it doesn't force in extra gimmicks like vibration, and it's not like all those force feedback vests we've seen in the past - massive and pointless.
No, the Teslasuit is more svelte. Admittedly to some it will still be pointless, though.
But those who have already slapped down their £500 on an Oculus Rift, who have forked out the £1,000-plus necessary for a new PC to use it, and who want something extra - something that fits like a nice snug bodysuit should - might want to have a look at Tesla's invention.
It's not limited to VR - there are applications on standard consoles and computers, tablets and smartphones, and all manner of non-gaming arenas that we aren't qualified to talk about here, like science and dating.
The Teslasuit is currently in the Kickstarter phase, with production - if the £250,000 goal is reached - set to begin at the end of the year.
The pre-production prices are hefty, as you'd expect: £1,119 for a 16-channel developer kit, or £2,499 for the 52-channel kit.
