After Hidden Path Entertainment found funding for Defense Grid 2 with Kickstarter and an investor, the studio scheduled its tower defense game to reach PC, Mac and Linux for the first half of 2014. However, a recent Polygon report revealed that defensive positions will also be held on Xbox One and PS4 consoles, due to a partnership between Hidden Path and publisher 505 Games. (Read More)

Defense Grid 2 finally a reality, due early 2014 and free for all Kickstarter backers

Last summer, Hidden Path Entertainment launched a Kickstarter page for an expansion pack to Defense Grid: The Awakening, as well as a sequel. The initial goal was just for the expansion, with stretch goals to cover the rest. Unfortunately, only the expansion was funded, but thanks to an investor, Defense Grid 2 is now a reality. Hidden Path founders Jeff Pobst and Jim Garbarini made the announcement earlier today, with DG2 due to arrive in the first half of next year. (Read More)
