Insection Kickstarter Offering Tons of Rewards For Backers

Glasswing Studio has announced a new KickStarter for their co-op FPS Insection for PC, Mac and Linux coming in 2014. Those who back the project on KickStarter from now until August 2nd will receive a ton of great rewards which includes in-game pets, limited character statuette, and much more.

From the Press Release
Glasswing Studio, an independent game development studio based in Athens, Greece, today asked gamers to help bring its first title, the indie co-op FPS INSECTION, to PC, Mac and Linux in 2014 by supporting its newly-launched Kickstarter campaign. INSECTION, which is inspired by classic sci-fi films and games, will feature over-the-top 3D action as four players team up as a ragtag mercenary band trying to save the galaxy from an infestation of angry insects. The campaign, which will run through August 2, 2013, will be used to fund core development efforts, with stretch goals including Oculus Rift and other controller support.

NSECTION is Glasswing’s effort to create a co-op experience that can give players something different in each playthrough. With a wide range of different gameplay modes, mission types, weapons, and enemies, and four unique characters, including a fashionable robot, INSECTION will offer a AAA mix of content for an indie price. As a member of a motley crew of ex-military veterans, players travel through a vibrant, colorful universe, exterminating insects while uncovering a vast corporate conspiracy.

Backers of the Kickstarter campaign can receive a number of rewards, including:
  • In-game pets designed exclusively for Kickstarter Backers
  • Limited Packs, with access to Alpha and Beta versions, exclusively designed skins and early access to competitive mode
  • QUAD PACK, which includes four game keys to share with friends
  • BackerBox, an amazing numbered Collector’s Box
  • Opportunities to participate in the game’s development, and even travel to Greece to meet the team
  • A limited and numbered character statuette
  • And a bevy of hi-res wallpapers and physical art

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups. The fair's massive Ferris Wheel towered high in the sky and helped light up the event, while the Moby Dick ride and Gravitron also looked fearsome and stood tall even from a distance. Plenty of ...
