The wonderful Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set to receive its final update this month, as developer ArtPlay adds the final features promised to players in the game's Kickstarter campaign back in 2015. This last update will arrive on 9th May, adding two new game modes and one free and three paid cosmetic DLC packs.
Artplay shared the news on its website (thanks, IGN), revealing what loyal fans can expect to be added to the game. The big-ticket items are the addition of Chaos Mode and VS Mode. Chaos Mode can be played solo or in local or online co-op, with players fighting through randomized rooms to defeat demons and bosses, completing challenges to earn powerful upgrades.
Versus Mode, meanwhile, offers a unique PVP option. Entering an exclusive arena, both players must battle waves of demons to earn souls. These souls can then be exchanged to upgrade weapons and gear or to trick your opponent with adverse effects, such as filling their room with fog or inverting their controls.

I should just get this on my PS5. The Switch version runs so poorly (for some reason), but it's an excellent game and one that I don't want to miss out on. I have reinstalled it several times and always get a few hours of cringing at the performance and nope out. Again, incredible game, but no reason for the performance.
I really enjoyed this game back in the day but this won't make me redownload it. Cool for newer players tho.
I haven't touched this game since it released years ago. I have it sitting on my Steam account so maybe I'll hop back in.
A fantastic game and I'd say a must play for Castlevania fans as this is Castlevania in everything but name
talk about crazy timing. i have been playing the game for the first time this past week and nearing the end now. don't think i'll get into these game modes, but nice gesture i guess? that said, i have to wonder why it has taken 5 years to release this update? overall, it is a solid game. not quite symphony of the night tier, but then again, i never expected it to be.
I need a sequel to this
I liked the game, got the platinum for it and no desire to hop back in.
