Apex Legends is an incredibly popular battle royale shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA. The game is known for its colorful cast of characters and team-based gameplay. Now, fans of the video game can experience all the action of Apex in a board game, thanks to a new Kickstarter from Glass Cannon Unplugged.
Apex Legends: The Board Game is designed to bring the experience of playing Apex to your next tabletop game night. The game is a competitive experience for 2-4 players that asks two teams to face each other on a huge, changeable map. Each player controls a Legend, heroes well-known from the Apex video game. Expansions are already in the works, which will add solo gameplay options, additional players, and more Legends to choose from.
The Kickstarter campaign for the game features five tiers of support to choose from. The first tier grants access to campaign updates. The second includes campaign updates and gets backers a copy of the board game, the Kickstarter-exclusive Loba Expansion, and unlocked stretch goals. The third tier includes everything in the previous tiers, plus the Full Team Expansion. The fourth tier has everything in previous tiers as well as the Squad I Expansion, Squad II Expansion, Supply Miniatures Expansion, Playing Mat Expansion, and Card Sleeves Pack. Finally, the fifth tier includes everything from the previous tiers, plus the Solo and Co-op Expansion.
Glass Cannon Unplugged has plenty of experience bringing the vibes of a video game to the world of tabletop. Previous works from the company include Frostpunk: The Board Game and Dying Light: The Board Game.
Apex Legends: The Board Game has already surpassed its funding goal of $243,468, so interested fans of Apex Legends should go to the Kickstarter page now to be one of the first to play the new tabletop game!
