UK-based creative agency Feref has launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a new book to serve as a visual record of some of their most memorable work over their 50 year-plus history. The book will give an in-depth insight into their archive, featuring pieces from over 3,500 films; a love letter to the artists behind movie posters spanning 6 decades and for film fans, a never before seen look at the concept art and development of some of the best loved movie posters for the likes of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Get Carter, Carry On, Flash Gordon and many others.
According to the Kickstarter, each page of the book, titled Feref Unseen, will show treasures from across the collection in stunning detail, from source material and first concept sketches to work in progress illustrations and even alternative ideas that have never before seen the light of day. It will illustrate how an idea was transformed into an iconic image that needed to stop traffic and sell tickets.
The ETA of the book is April next year, and for just £40 you can back the campaign and get an early copy of the hard cover coffee table book. We have no financial interest in this at all, but we’ve worked with Feref on their movie campaigns for many years, and they’re a great bunch. More info can be found over on the official Kickstarter.
