Faro’s smart bike helmet thunders on Kickstarter
The Faro has 40 LEDs on the back that can be used to send different signals. The user can choose from flashing modes, day and night modes, color combinations. The user can also signal other drivers if they are about to turn or stop using a remote control that can be attached to the steering wheel.
The LEDs are hidden under the fabric that meets the IPX6 degree of protection. Faro was developed with the help of the Swedish company MIPS, which specializes in safety helmets. The magnetic closure allows you to quickly put on and take off the helmet, and the design has ventilation holes.
A fall detection function is provided that will send a message to a preset number if the cyclist does not respond after a violent fall. The helmet is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 1850 mAh, which can work up to 10 hours, depending on the active functions.
