Deathground, a new co-op survival horror game, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to release this game into the wild.

Deathground features both solo and co-operative gameplay, so players can try to survive alone or play in teams of up to 3. Players form a group of professional hunters and survivalists on a mission to the “Deathground” to retrieve high-value loot.

The game features dynamic gameplay enriched with objectives, stealth and combat; unpredictable AI dinosaurs; special character classes; a range of items and weapons; and terrifying environments.

Deathground also features an original score by BAFTA-nominated composer, David Housden, known for his work on Thomas was Alone and Q.U.B.E. 2.

“We’ve been building the foundations of the game for over 6 months now and have been carefully planning our production pipeline and creative strategy. We’ve come to Kickstarter because we’re confident there’s an audience out there for this type of game and we’d love for the community to help shape the game experience, so together, we can create something incredible,” said Dan Da Rocha, Co-Founder of Jaw Drop Games.

Jaw Drop Games have self-funded pre-production and developed early gameplay but are now looking to Kickstarter as the next step towards full production and community-driven development, with a Kickstarter goal of US$100,000.

The full release of Deathground will have new player abilities and character classes, new maps and zones, ranked multiplayer seasons, and different game-modes with more PvP aspects down the pipeline.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, you can support Deathground through their Kickstarter page or check them out on Steam.
