Just last month, Panda Cult Games announced that they were partering up with Yacht Club Games to start a Kickstarter for a Shovel Knight-inspired board game, titled Shovel Knight: Dungeon Duels.

The Kickstarter would start on the 2nd of July but, other than the date it would start, Panda Cult Games didn't offer too many details about the game other than it would be a 1-4 player side-scrolling miniature game with Shovel Knight figures; standard for board games in general.

Today, Panda Cult Games has announced that, based on feedback from backers, they will be also introducing a budget version of Shovel Knight: Dungeon Duels that will be including 2D figures instead of, well, 3D figures like it was always intended.

The Shovel Knight: Dungeon Duels board game will begin its Kickstarter again on the 13th of August, which will likely help fund the budget 2D version of the game. Although this may be self-explanatory, it is still worth mentioning that the only difference the 3D and 2D version of the game is that the figures will be different; nothing else is expected to be changed.
