LONDON -- Fancy staying in a hobbit house? There's a Kickstarter for that.
Glamping company West Stow Pods are building a halfling home in Suffolk and are looking for funding to complete the project.
Their Poddit Hole House will be nestled into a grassy bank among their other properties in the picturesque corner of England, with Tolkien Society member Alan Baxter on hand to ensure authenticity.
Hidden behind a round yellow door, and featuring two double bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, as well as a log burner, the cosy spot will the perfect place to snuggle down with a copy of Lord Of The Rings.

"I'm not a fan of the books myself," West Stow Pods owner Jan Lenguel told Mashable, "but Alan will ensure everything is completely authentic."
"I've tried to keep it affordable, and visitors can combine their stay with a visit to an Anglo Saxon village nearby," he added.

The project will be as sustainable as possible, with specialist builders Hartwyn Natural Building working with low-impact building techniques and materials such as rammed earth, straw bales and lime plaster, and aiming for low carbon power generation for under floor heating and hot water.
Lenguel hopes the hobbit home will encourage Brits to discover more of the country's natural beauty on their doorstep. "I'm hoping to prevent people from going on stupid overseas flights to soak up the sun in Benidorm,” he said.

The project has currently raised £6,000 of its £50,000 target on Kickstarter.
Backers can pledge anything from £2 to £1,000, with £15 buying a t-shirt, £80 paying for a night in the completed Poddit Hole and £250 offering a two night stay with a guided tour of the local Anglo-Saxon village.
